Meet the Polphin! It is half pig and half dolphin. With its head being a pig head and its body being a dolphin body it is able to do many many things! This very rare animal is able to do many things that neither a pig or dolphin can do. The polphin is able to survive on land and in water, as with it being half pig it can breath with the oxygen on land well surviving, well a regular dolphin cant, but it also can swim in the water and survive in the water unlike a regular pig that cannot do that. These rare animals can be seen in mostly any body of ocean. People are just now starting to discover these animals and they are discovering them quick, as the polphin is very friendly and will practically swim right up to any humans in sight. The polphin is also very very rare so lets all try our best to keep them here as they are a true joy to have around.
This project was very easy I thought as it was enjoyable and fun to do at the same time. First, when starting this project I had to choose which two animals to combine. When choosing I decided to do a pig and a dolphin. I really like dolphins and the pig head was cute so I decided to add them together and create the Polphin! Once I had the pig picture in Gimp, I then began to crop out most of the background well leaving the head in the center. After I had cropped the picture I then used the erase tool to get rid of all the extra little things. Then I copied the pig head picture and pasted a floating section on to the dolphin picture. While in the dolphin picture I then moved the pig head to where I would like it to be on the dolphin picture well also turning down the opacity of the pig head so that I could see exactly where to put it. Lastily I used the eraser to finish up just some fine tuning of around the edges that needed to be erased and then I turned the opacity up to 100 again. I decided not to use any filters or effects as I liked how the pictures already were, but I did have to resize the pig head picture so that it would fit on to the dolphin body. Finally the other only change I had to make was the opacity level, I had to change it to 60 while putting the pig head onto the dolphin body, but other then that one time the opacity level stayed at 100. Overall, I had a lot of fun creating this project!
